Hello I’m Alice and I grew up in South Devon as one of five siblings. My mum used to run a festival and is now a wedding coordinator, while my dad is a ventriloquist - so creativity and colour have always been a big part of my life! I first fell in love with painting back in school, which eventually led me to study Fine Art Painting at Brighton University.
I’m now based in beautiful Devon, though I spend a lot of time in Brazil and Brighton - three places that couldn’t be more different, yet all feed into my work. My practice is rooted in bright, playful abstraction shaped by my childhood (my home had a yellow kitchen, pink dining room and blue stairs!) and the music, landscapes and colour that have always surrounded me.
Through my paintings, I aim to share the uplifting energy I find in colour and sound, creating work that brings joy, warmth and a moment of escape from the everyday.
I have original pieces as well as limited-edition and open-edition prints available. I am also available for commissions - let me create a piece for you in any colour palette, designed to fit your space, perhaps inspired by your favourite music, or maybe an abstract depiction of a person, family, meaningful place or moment.
I would love to create something truly personal for you!
You are welcome to email me for a full price list, or explore my work currently displayed at Liberation Art Gallery in Brighton, where I am proud to exhibit.

COMISSIONS
Working on commissions for my clients is a dream come true for me. I love the fact I can create a unique piece to their style, taste and colour palette, taking inspiration from the room in which the painting will hang, photos, videos or pieces of loved music or maybe a gift, considering the person it is being gifted to.
I can work to any budget and any size - I do have a limited number of spaces for commissions, so if you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
I love trying out many different styles and techniques, as I love to explore different ways of expressing myself as an artist, but the four main styles I tend to work in are abstract, figurative, music scenes and Abstract (Kandinsky style) shapes. Below I have given you more information about each.
ABSTRACT
I would say abstraction is my main style of painting and the reason that I fell in love with it. I love music - I am actually a musician myself and listen to music every day. I have therefore taken great joy in creating many commissions for my clients, using their favourite piece of music to inspire the artwork I create for them.
Obviously, in all my work there can be a lot of cross overs in style, for example all my pieces tend to be in an abstract style but sometimes I may have a figure in the centre - creating more of a abstract-figurative piece or maybe an abstract take on a beautiful landscape.

FIGURATIVE
I love creating pieces that merge abstraction with a figurative style, bringing shapes to life, creating recognisable features that dip in and out of your vision and inspire your imagination.
There’s nothing like a painting that makes you feel connected — to yourself, a loved one, or a special memory. Art can capture the essence of a feeling, whether it’s the warmth of an embrace or the rhythm of a dance. My goal is to create pieces that evoke emotion and offer comfort, making each painting more than just decoration but a meaningful part of your life.
This style is extremely popular with my clients and I work closely with them to understand exactly what they want in the piece, ensuring the piece will fit their space perfectly, usually adding that pop of colour to their walls.

MUSIC SCENE
Do you have a favorite band or a core memory from an unforgettable gig? Maybe you want to capture the magic of a wedding or a special event with your favorite people. I can bring those moments to life through art, creating a piece that reminds you of that experience every time you look at it.
Bringing the energy of a music scene to life on canvas is one of my passions. I love capturing the pulse of a crowd, the rhythm of a performance, and translating that movement and excitement into a vibrant, dynamic piece of art.

ABSTRACT (With Kandinsky style shapes)
Wassily Kandinsky has been one of my greatest influences as I developed as an artist. There’s something truly captivating about abstract art—tiny, intricate details and shapes that evoke the rhythm of music, the movement of a dance, or even a personal journey. Each viewer can find something unique, allowing the piece to transform into whatever resonates most with their own imagination.
This was the style I first embraced at the beginning of my artistic journey, and I still love returning to it. It allows me to explore shapes, repetition, and colour in fresh, exciting ways, always offering a new perspective.

I really hope this has given you an insight into my work and inspired you to think about what you would like in a piece of art.
I would love to hear from you, even if you don't want a commission at this stage, but would like to start talking about one for the future.
